checking out pickypicky's shop on etsy gives me one feeling - love, love! i love her french charm jewels (especially the non ring!). i am also just laughing over the name of her golden banana necklace - velvet underground & andy warhol are jealous of your banana pendant necklace - how great? you can also find pics of her work here and the sweet deerhead reminds me of a tiny deerhead christmas vase that i won on ebay a year ago (i will try to sneak into storage to share it with you because it is share-worthy!). so enjoy these sweet treats today, (sorry i was missing yesterday!).

so, unless you are reading this from under a rock, you know that emilia & i are bloggin' it up together. this project has made me stop, think, be observant, and be prepared. i am looking for a moment each day that defines for me or symbolizes the word, quote, lyric of the day and SO as i was browsing etsy today i found my new favorite-ness. everyday moments is already stopping to take the pictures and appreciate the little things that we pass and often don't see. as she puts it, she is celebrating the little things with a fresh perspective and i happen to heart all of that. also, her pictures have a certain "recovered" feeling, like they have been salvaged from a flood or hidden inside of an old farmhouse wall for years. you can find these beauties here & here, please enjoy my short-list of favorites above.

art show.

today was less rar than yesterday...EXCEPT - my back is broken...we are studying michelangelo this week at school and the kids are laying under a table painting to imitate how he lay on his back on staging to paint the sistene chapel - which means, i have been on the ground teaching art this week and under a table taping up newspaper as a backdrop...my back is broken. i came home to find my nephew brody and he was in the mood to resurrect his art gallery that is currently showing on my closet door!


we did this multi-media collaboration today and added it to some of his and his sisters other works already on display, please enjoy!
