i went to an AMAZING show last night, saw ray lamontagne (who i LOVE) and it was a feeling of being brought somewhere else for a short time where love & pain are friends, where feelings are transformed into his weathered, raspy voice and spoken directly to me. after an encore, he simply said "thank you, see you guys soon." and walked off...(sigh)...i am eternally grateful for amy & her spare ticket :)my favorite song, SO glad he played it:

i don't get why he isnt coming to Chicago! I would die to see him! ugh, melodramatic i know, but i live for that man.

no, no - i get it and you are NOT melodramatic, i too live for him! it's the voice & lyrics & quiet demeanor combo, absolutely. but, he's ALWAYS overseas...what's up with that??!? he is from maine and never comes home to play a show, so i got exceedingly lucky to have a friend with an extra ticket - he should come to chicago though, maybe you & friends should write to his "people" & protest!
haha, i SHOULD write to his people, ha! i just hope one day i get to see him live.
