i'm having a music moment! i have been exposed to some great artists lately by my ahead-of-the-trend friends and all of the fabulous music blogs, and after trying to pick the one i heart the most, i decided that the one artist who i have to share with you is Meiko. I am not up to date on music, so this may be old news, but her music is like mashed potatoes for me - warm, comforting, familiar, lovely, delicious. i first heard her without knowing it was her on grey's anatomy and then i read all of the rave reviews written by perez hilton who said, "if you like singer/songwriters then you will be foaming at the mouth for Meiko." high praise, but it's completely true.

i took me a minute to love her, but now i just wish i had realized that i was obsessed with her earlier because all of the shows she's playing in my area are sold out...RAR! but check out her schedule on myspace and see if you get a little more lucky! may i suggest for your listening pleasure "piano song" & "reasons to love you" - oh, yeah and everything else on her album! listen to her whole thing here and check out a live radio session from KCRW's morning becomes eclectic show below. happy listening & enjoy the weekend!
